Carriage Mounted Spreader Bar - This particular kind of mast comprises three parts as the name implies. The outside section is connected firmly to the lift vehicle. The next section telescopes within the mounted outer part and the inner most part telescopes inside the intermediate part. Both the intermediate and the internal part elevate and the lift cylinders extend. Once again in this model, the fork carriage rides in the internal part. The 3 stage mast provides a shorter lowered height as opposed to the 2 stage mast. The common usage of the 3 stage mast is in areas like for instance doorways where overhead clearances are limited. This mast is usually outfitted with a center cylinder to let the fork carriage elevate several distance before the mast sections begin extension.
The 2 Stage Mast has two sections. The inner section telescopes in the external and elevates when the lift cylinders lengthen. The outer part of this mast model is attached to the lift truck. The fork carriage is positioned in the inner section. This particular mast type has a taller lowered height than an equivalent 3 stage mast or lift height quad mast.
